Special Delivery by Kathi Macias – Review

With God, all things are possible. Even ending sex trafficking.

Once again Kathi Macias takes us on several journeys into human trafficking without being graphic in her latest book, Special Delivery.

We are introduced to several new girls, along with those we know from her first book in the series, Deliver Me From Evil. Lawan’s story continues in Thailand. Will she escape, unlike her older sister Chanthra?

Mara starts her life over, freed from slavery and finally living her life as an independent young woman. Will she be safe now that she’s sent her Tio to prison? Can she make it on her own? And will her life intertwine with the Flannery’s again? Will she be successful in helping another girl who is trapped as a sex slave?

I couldn’t put it down because I had to know the answers to these questions.

Kathi Mathias does an excellent job tackling such a delicate subject without cursing or explicit sexual content. She brings you easily into a world most of us would like to pretend doesn’t exist, but in a way that completely pulls you in and opens your heart and mind to the challenge our world is facing with the over 27 million human slaves in the world.

I challenge you to read this series and not have the story and its topic attach itself to the inner most part of your heart.
