Who Have You Encouraged Lately?

So then, as we have opportunity, let us do good to everyone, and especially to those who are of the household of faith. Galatians 6:10

Encouragement is the goal of this site. It’s been on my heart for years to encourage people and especially women. There are so many hurting women out there who need to be uplifted. To hear a nice word. Shown some kindness. To be made to feel special.

As we checked out new churches a few years ago, there was one thing that really stood out to us. Was the Pastor an encourager? Or a condemner? While we all need to be challenged we also need to be encouraged and empowered.

So I ask you my sweet readers, are you encouraging or condemning? Have you stepped out and encouraged anyone lately? I’m challenging you to do so!

A few ideas:

• Send a card
• Make a meal
• Stop by and say hello
• Purchase a single flower to deliver or cut one from your yard
• Make a dessert to deliver – maybe go to several homes with a small plate of cookies
• Go to the dollar store and purchase a mylar balloon
• Write a letter
• Mow or weed someone’s yard
• Babysit
• Call and chat
• Send a text – remember the IBIU – I Believe In You
• Plan a bbq together
• Invite them over
• Make some sun tea or lemonade and deliver

I could go on and on but you get the idea. None of these items are expensive but they will each require some effort and a little time. The bottom line is that every single person needs to be loved and encouraged. We all desire it and we can all benefit from it.
