The words form and I haven’t even opened my eyes. I can hear word for word what I need to get up and write before it’s gone. Perfect, lovely words bounce around in my mind waiting for me to roll out of bed and zip through my fingertips. They anxiously await life and the message they will bring to someone who needs them. Sometimes the words run dry but today they are like a river, flowing freely and swirling around the internet to hopefully touch one heart for Him.
I wake for Him. I write for Him. I love because He told me to. I’m saved because He told me so. I’m free because He loved me enough to hang and die for me. Truly, remarkably free from things that once haunted my soul. The nonsense of the past flutters away at the sound of His voice. And I bask in the glow of His love. Arms of perfect comfort surround me. Freedom.
* This is a five minute Friday post 🙂 I’m linking up at Gypsy Mama and this is what flowed today in my five minutes of writing! Be blessed lovelies! Have a great weekend!
PS – If you haven’t read yesterday’s post, please do so. When God’s Voice Is As Clear As Lightning
Amen! You go, girl! I felt your heart in that one! I know EXACTLY what you mean by the words running dry. You gotta grab them up when they’re flowing like that river, and get them out to bless others. Woo-Hoo! Praise God and bless those who write for Him!!!
We write for Him – yes, that is the truth. And it is good to wake up in the arms of His love. Thank you for the free flowing words!
Just discovering your lovely blog. Such an amazing story you have – and I loved yesterday’s long story – worth every word. May God continue to flow through you as you reach out to other’s with your own story of redemption and continuing transformation.
Mel, thank you for stopping by my blog. This “The nonsense of the past flutters away at the sound of His voice” touched me. His voice is so much stronger than the voices of the past that try to keep us down, yet like a gentle whisper we must be attuned to hear it. Beautiful.
Your blog reminded me of an old hymn – “Sing them over again to me, Wonderful words of life….” Thanks you for sharing such beautiful words!
This is beautifully written. It truly is flowing like a river today!

Can so identify with this! I love the mornings when I wake up and He has put a fresh blessing on my heart 🙂
Thanks for stopping by my blog. You’re post makes that great point that you write for Him, and I think that many of us here are inspired to do that as well. It is a very different way of thinking and writing, just that knowing that he will work through us.
Thank you so much Kim 🙂
You really capture the freedom you were feeling while writing this. Love the flow. May God bless you always.
Beautiful Mel, I so loved this!
“I wake for Him. I write for Him! – those words and thoughts moved me so much, as that is just how I feel.

Beautiful post! Thanks for stopping by my blog! 🙂
We must all come to a place where we realize and act upon the wonderful truth that all we say and do is all for Him. Every movement, every breath. When His glory becomes our goal we find delight in Him!
Thank you for the lovely moment of rocking on the porch with you. I have a feeling I will be back with another cup of warm tea to share again. Bless you new friend.
