Simple Ways To Bless Others

It’s hospitality Friday but but best of all, it’s Good Friday! As we reflect on the ultimate gift and sacrifice, perhaps we can do something to touch some else’s life. Here are some very simple and inexpensive ideas to bless someone else.

Who could you drop in and surprise with a little gift this week? The pastor? Church secretary? Librarian?
A cupcake in a pretty tea cup. Go to your local thrift store and find one still in great shape. And you don’t have to bake the cupcake if you don’t want to. Go to a local bakery and pick out something pretty, in the same color palette as the teacup. Simple and fairly inexpensive.

Or what about some yummy mint, 4 ingredient cookies? Who doesn’t love Andes mints?

Or my most favorite new idea is delivering or sending a box of sunshine. I’m going to expand on this idea in the near future. Keep on the look out for it!

Send a greeting card! Who doesn’t love getting a surprise in the snail mailbox? I happen to know where you can get some fabulous greeting cards!

And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him. Colossians 3:17

  1. We went to the dollar store to get the ingredients to make empty tomb centre pieces, and made them as a family to give away. We often give baking and share time with people we know are needing some love. We spend time in prayer for people and let them know we are holding them close even though they are far away! Great ideas Mel…gotta try some!

    • That’s a great idea! I’d like to make those too. We did resurrection eggs with my class of kiddos last night.
