Saturday Morning Confessions Vol7

  1. My favorite thing from Dairy Queen is peanut buster parfait. I used to make them in little dixie cups when I worked there. How I stayed thin is a mystery ๐Ÿ™‚
  2. My first job was at the Neon Pretzel. I loved that job! It was fun and easy.
  3. I started babysitting other people’s kids when I was ten. I cannot even imagine allowing a ten year old to babysit for me now!
  4. My first cat’s name was Boomer. He ran away. We moved, he didn’t want to go with us so he’d take off across town and go back to the old house. Finally my mom gave up and we left him there.
  5. I miss watching the show, Army Wives now that we don’t have cable or satellite.
  6. Today is my husband’s 34th birthday and my son’s 9th birthday!

  1. Totally agree about the babysitting – I started doing it when I was 12. I don’t have kids but even so there is no way I can imagine leaving my children with someone that young!!

  2. Hmmm lets see I was in 6th grade, and although the child was safe, I made a mess with the sugar as I tried making kool aid.

  3. My mom & I were JUST talking about this today. My daughter is 10 and no way would I let her babysit alone. My mom said she started babysitting at 10 or 11. Neither of us could imagine letting a 10 or 11 year old babysit these days!!!

    • Isn’t that crazy? It used to be the norm but kids are different these days too ๐Ÿ™‚
