My Encourager

The heartfelt counsel of a friend is as sweet as perfume and incense.

I am linking up with the (In)Courage Carnival.

One of my biggest encouragers has been Margaret Castañeda. She used to speak at GEMS (our moms group) and her stories and heart just shined through to the core.

Margaret also counseled with me for a while because I had a lot of junk to work through. Lots of whys and “if God loved me” types of questions. All of which she patiently waded through with me.

When their family moved away, I couldn’t help but feel heartbroken. But even living 12 hours away hasn’t stopped her from being there. She sends texts and if I have a question and email her, she doesn’t just respond. She sends quality, researched, and well thought out answers. She’s still on my team, cheering me on!

So thank you Margaret for touching my life. For loving on my kids. For being fabulous and calling me Beauty Queen Thanks for always being there, even when you likely thought, wow this girl has a LOT of stuff to work through!

I know that I am not the only one Margaret has touched. She’s amazing like that!
