Love Drop

40 “The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’ Matthew 25:40

One of my favorite things in life is helping other people.  When tragedy strikes, many of you know that I will be the first one to start sending out prayer requests to every person and organization I can think of.  My first thought is always, if I were in this same situation, how would I want people to respond?

I don’t have much extra money but prayer is free.  Sending an encouraging email, posting a blog comment, and posting to my blog are free ways for me to help

So when I heard about Love Drop and how they are changing lives in tangible ways, I had to find out more! Seriously, this is the kind of thing that gets my blood pumping.

Love Drop is a community that helps people in need.  Every month, Love Drop delivers a unique combination of unexpected financial gifts, personal encouragement and the support of local and online communities.

This month’s Love Drop will be for single mom, Jill, who lost her job and then her daughter. She was homeless and finally found a home only to have it burn to the ground. Sounds like a mama who could use some support huh?  I thought so too.

Here’s her story:

This project is all about coming up with creative and fun ways to make a difference for someone. Here’s what you can do to make our first Love Drop special for Jill and her family:

  • Join the team – Become a member by paying whatever you want. Even $1.00.
  • Join our blogger network – Blog about our Love Drops once a month! It’s easy, it’s rewarding, and it REALLY helps spread the word (which in turn helps the families!). Love Drop will give you all the content you need.
  • Give a gift or provide a service – Gift cards, household goods, football cards/jerseys for the boys, web design services, pampering gifts for Jill, etc. (email all ideas/questions to team (at) lovedrop.us, and we’ll make it happen)

As you can see, even YOU can help!  It doesn’t have to cost you a dime!  Maybe just a few minutes of your time.  By posting the Love Drop details and Jill’s story on your own blog, you expand the amount of Love that can be delivered to Jill and her family.  We are called to love. That’s not a suggestion, but I believe something we are commanded to do. Each month, I will be posting the Love Drop details for a new family or person and encouraging you, my lovely and precious reader, to ACT.  I know we can make a difference and it starts here.  I hope this makes you tingle in anticipation, like it does me.  I cannot wait for Jill to be blessed.

In Him,

  1. We all should be so hungry that we will follow Christ to the end. So many times we end up following our own dreams and they may not be the road Christ would have us to travel down. That is why it’s so important we check with Him first.

    • Oh great idea! My husband could make those! I will have to ask him. Could you use them for pancakes too? I guess if they were metal.
