Welcome to day 5! Today’s bible verses (3-4) can be summed up in one word. AWESOME!
because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. 4 Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. (NIV)
For a minute or two, consider what it would be like to not lack anything. What does that look like for you? I imagine being completely emotionally whole. What kind of joy would fill my every day life?
The KJV of verse 4 says to be perfect. Perfect?! The Greek for perfect is teleois which means achieved or reached the goal. Full grown. Fully developed.
Oh, how I want to reach the goal! To be fully developed! Don’t you? Let’s keep digging into James!
Keep memorizing verses 1 and 2.
What have you uncovered so far in James? Please share! Don’t forget to share your homework on the Facebook page! It is a great motivator to see others post their homework and it’s always interesting to see what someone else discovers. And don’t forget to utilize your free James worksheets.
Blessings,
