Welcome to day 28 of our James Bible Study! Let’s unpack verses 23-24.
And the scripture was fulfilled that says, “Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness,” and he was called God’s friend. 24 You see that a person is considered righteous by what they do and not by faith alone. (NIV)
If we search further, we will find that Genesis 15:6 shares the message of James 24.
Why do you think James feels so strongly about faith and works being joined together? You can’t have one without the other. Journal your thoughts about this today.
