He Calls Me In The Early Morning

A little nudge. Tugs at the heart.

Are you awake?

No, not quite. Not yet, Lord.

Sleepy cobwebs break away. Bible verses thunder through.

This daughter, this is what you focus on today.

Lesson. Practical. Applicable.

Ready, set, go!

This is the day that the Lord has made. Let us rejoice and be glad in it.

When does the Lord speak to you?

  2. I feel as though He spends extra time with me at bedtime as he settles my anxious heart. πŸ™‚

    • Me too, Sisterlisa. It’s either right at bed time or He awakens me with it. The perfect way to go to sleep and to wake πŸ™‚

  3. The Lord will speak to me in many ways. Through friends, through his word, in prayer and in the middle of the night, around 3AM. sometimes I’m so stunned I find it hard to go back to sleep.

  4. He speaks to me throughout my day, but….I hear Him best early in the morning and at the end of the day. Some days are so hectic, with many distractions, it can be hard to hear the Lord through all the noise and busyness. But I’m trying hard to carve out moments of peace and quiet in between, because twice a day is not enough to hear His precious Voice!

    • πŸ™‚ Probably why I hear him at bed time and in the morning because the kids are so loud πŸ™‚ LOL But yes, He does speak through out the day too very often.

  5. What a sweet post, it made me smile. Thank you.

It’s interesting to hear from people who have working spiritual ‘antennas’, able to hear from the Lord. I am surrounded by people who cannot do so.

What I find results from such a situation is that I not only get the information for myself, but am meant to do (not usually say) something that is impactful for them. I often hear in my spirit “Allow this to be wrong. ” Meaning… that He is dealing with that issue. I also hear ‘You are not late” because I am often anxious about my schedule.

Of all the things that i hear in my spirit, I love the concise, elegant wisdom of the Lord. Many things and many truths packed into such a small amount of words. It’s one of the ways I recognize something is from Him. Being in God’s classroom makes life interesting, purpose-full and effective. Let me give you an example. There is a verse in Corinthians that says “For the kingdom of God is not a matter of talk but of power.”

SImple to write. 14 words. Ahh, but the understanding of this one sentence would fill books. It is my prayer that more of God’s Kids would fully involve themselves in this.
