Pray Specifically = Results

Then Jesus told his disciples a parable to show them that they should always pray and not give up.  Luke 18:1

This Sunday we were challenged by a guest speaker to pray specifically and continuously.  When I heard him says this, I thought, I’ve got this one covered.  I do this all the time. I do.

So I prayed about this blog and my ebook and I asked God to show me what He wants to see happen with it and to please let it reach those women who need it. Really, we all need it.  Forgiveness isn’t just for those who have been sexually abused.

Sunday afternoon I booked a radio show called Devoted Housewives for April 28th to share about forgiveness.  I will be on at 8pm ET and you all can call in and ask questions if you want.

Later in the afternoon yesterday (Monday) I got my official information for the Devoted Housewives Radio show on Blog Talk Radio.  The invitation shared that they had an audience of 8 million globally and I almost peed my pants.  Seriously, I don’t think my stomach stopped churning all day.  Nerves, I gotz ’em.

I love when God speaks and rocks our world. The whole reason I wrote this ebook was not for fame or because I think I am so awesome (I don’t) but because God did something amazing in my life and in my heart. And because He told me to and I’ve learned it’s best to do what He asks, especially when He shows it to you over and over again when you ask for confirmation.  If you read my blog regularly, you know my heart longs for Christians to be set completely free from bondage to the past.

This adventure makes me realize even more how amazing God is when we ask specifically for something.  Do I trust Him?  Yes, absolutely.  Do I think this show will fail because of something I will do and say?  No, I have a peace about it after much prayer.  Am I nervous, um yeah, that’s an understatement but at the same time, I am so excited at the potential for what could be done in lives!

God’s going to set some people FREE from bondage!  Now that’s a specific prayer worth praying!

What have you been praying specifically for?  How long have you been praying?  Can we as the body of Christ pray for you?  Leave a comment and I guarantee you will be prayed for.

  1. Well I love you and still Thank God for allowing us to be friends! God will speak through you and YOU are going to do AWESOME! Keepin ya in my prayers 😉

  2. Whenever we feel so down and it seems that God has turned his back on us, think again. Do you remember the story of the footprints in the sand? That is a good example of Life and Faith. The footprints we actually see are not ours; it’s God’s. In times when we felt so down, God lifted us up and carried us because He doesn’t want us to suffer. We just have to put our faith in Him.

  3. Pray for me. I want a husband and a daughter

  4. I think that to be able to forgive one must learn how to let go. One of the toughest times for me was when my husband cheated and I was left with nothing but pity.
