National Day of Encouragement
Today is National Day of Encouragement. To celebrate such a special day, the lovely folks at DaySpring gave away 400 packs of their new Hope and Encouragement line. I received my pack of 10 beautiful cards, each with the perfect wording on it and sent them right back out to those I felt should get some encouragement (not that we all don’t need that!).
I sent mine to friends, a couple of older ladies in our church, my best friend, and one to my favorite auntie. Did you know today was National Encouragement Day? Did you do anything for it?
One of my favorite cards that they sent me has a cup of coffee on it and talks about how the two women met for coffee and shared the rough patches of their lives with each other. I sent that to a dear friend because last spring, we met for coffee while she poured her heart out about a serious struggle she and her husband were going through. We laughed, we cried, and we prayed. They are a stronger couple because of it but it has been a bumpy road for them both. I thank God for precious friends like that. Who you can share your heart with and they still love you anyway!
