James Bible Study Day 50

James bible study at melindatodd

Welcome to day 50 of our James Bible Study! Take a deep breath my friend, we’re coming in for the finish! Can you believe it? Let’s dig in to the last 2 verses of our study and then reward yourself because you made it to the end!

My brothers and sisters, if one of you should wander from the truth and someone should bring that person back, 20 remember this: Whoever turns a sinner from the error of their way will save them from death and cover over a multitude of sins. James 5:19-20 (NIV)

Bringing someone back from sin? Can I just be honest here? This makes me super uncomfortable. I hate confrontation and this is such a sticky situation. I think if it were a really close friend, I might be able to do this without it turning into a problem, but I’m not so sure. How about you? Have you had to do this? How did it turn out?

Remember to be gentle when confronting someone else’s sin. Be careful that you don’t fall into sin as well. It can be very easy to confront someone and have them get angry and you fall into the trap of, well I did the right thing and they just didn’t listen blahblahblahblah. See what I’m saying?

What are your thoughts on these verses? What has really spoken to you during this study?

*We’ll continue with memory work. Do I still have anyone on board with that? Just checking.

WELL DONE!!! You did it!

Blessings,
