How To Become A Positive Thinker, Fast!

Become a positive thinker by melinda_todd

If God is FOR you, who can be against you?

You.

Are you against yourself? Are you fighting God’s goodness for your life by negative self talk? By beating yourself up?

If God is for you, why are you against you?

Think about that for a few minutes.

It’s time to stop the negative internal dialogue once and for all.

God has equipped you with the ability to take your thoughts captive. Yes, He has.

As a child of the most High, it is no longer acceptable for you to abuse yourself mentally.

Are you ready to be done with that line of thinking? Of course you are.

Here’s how to take your thoughts captive and change your life by accepting what God (not Mel) has to say about you.

Print out this worksheet I created for you. It’s free. The first worksheet is in black and white and the second is a color copy for those of you who like things a little prettier.

Lies vs Truth Worksheet

Color Lies vs Truth Worksheet

In the left hand column fill in any negative self talk that you experience over this next week. Every. Single. Time.

Every time you have to write a negative thought, counter that lie with the truth from God’s word in the right hand column. Don’t just write down the scripture reference. Oh no, you are going to write out the whole scripture and then repeat it out loud to yourself three times.

Here are some scriptures to get you started. But don’t rely on me for them. Trust God to show you the truths your heart needs to make the truth change.

  • If God is for us, who can be against us? Romans 8:31
  • For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline. 2 Timothy 1:7
  • Are not five sparrows sold for two pennies? Yet not one of them is forgotten by God. Indeed, the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows. Luke 12:6-7
  • For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11
  • I brought you up out of Egypt and redeemed you from the land of slavery. Micah 6:4
  • May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. Romans 15:13
  • For his anger lasts only a moment, but his favor lasts a lifetime; weeping may remain for a night, but rejoicing comes in the morning. Psalm 30:5

Very encouraging and inspiring post. Actually these are among my favorite scriptures. A great challenge I must add – I will consider spending some time to do it.
